CHADRILL: Lake Chad Deep Drilling
- Status: A workshop was held on 21–23 September in Aix–en–Provence in France
and brought together an international group including some key governmental and research players
from Chad. Discussions focussed on the importance of this unique north African monsoon record
as well as the logistical challenges posed by drilling in Chad. The meeting participants agreed
to work together to submit a full drilling proposal to ICDP in January 2017.
